Back at the Market

3 years ago we launched our first Caribbean Craft Market at Dudley's Auto Service thanks to the generosity of owner and iLBC Corporate Member, Sugar Notch. Little did we know a year later a global pandemic would shut us down indefinitely. When God puts a dream out there for us to fulfill, there is no time limit or expiration. After going virtual and then pausing, we are finally back! This past Saturday we were blessed with sun as we set up our tents, tables and goods at the Market’s new location: St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, located in Houston’s Sunnyside community. DJ music journeyed memorable reggae and soca tunes, taking us all back to positive times and vibes.

I am so overwhelmed with gratitude for our #caribbeancraftmarket partners Nicholl Hunte and Veloney Jack-Cross. Collaboration and community are at the heart of I Love Being Caribbean and we love working with others to serve community. Thanks to every customer, flier sharer and most notably every vendor partner that has joined us over the last few years. Our iLBC team does it for the ❤️ and we hope you feel it!

In honor of our Caribbean heritage, we launched Caribbean Craft Markets hoping to directly connect local entrepreneurs with community while building a sense of community. If you’re in Houston and haven’t visited the Market, we hope to see you soon. We provide authentic Caribbean "cookshop" cuisine, lively sounds of Caribbean music and a diverse shopping experience...the I Love Being Caribbean way! The next Market takes place Saturday, June 25. Join us as we celebrate Caribbean Heritage Month.

As with all I Love Being Caribbean experiences, you don't have to be Caribbean to join us!
