Salt Mackerel & Food (provisions) Quick Fix Recipe:::
Boil the Mackerel in plain water for 7-10 minutes (to extract the salt)
Cut up your fresh seasoning (onion, thyme, scotch bonnet peppers, bell peppers, tomatoes, scallion)
Make dumplings (water, flour, pinch of salt)
Prepare provisions to be boiled in a big pot (peel yams, banana, sweet potato, pumpkin and Irish potato) with water and a tablespoon of salt
Drain your Mackerel, cool and pickle it.
In a big frying pan or Dutch Pot add coconut oil: once it's hot add thyme then the Salt Mackerel: add scotch bonnet and stir occasionally. add your seasoning except for the tomatoes stirring occasionally. Add tomatoes for the last 5-7 minutes and stir. Turn off the fire
Food (provisions) should be ready after 20-25 mins of boiling.
Remove from flame and begin plating. Add pear 🥑 (some call it avocado) and eat away.
